Bucks Travel Limited

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Bucks Travel Limited, whether confirmed verbally or in writing. By confirming a booking, the customer (“Hirer”) agrees to these terms. All transport services, vehicles, and drivers are operated by Bucks Travel Ltd. The Hirer is responsible for the behavior and actions of all passengers included in the booking.


2. Quotations

All quotations are for vehicle hire with driver only and are valid for 10 days, subject to vehicle availability. Prices may change depending on availability and operating costs.


3. Booking & Payment

A minimum deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the journey, unless otherwise agreed. Unpaid invoices may be referred to a debt recovery agency and may incur an additional 15% recovery fee plus legal costs.


4. Vehicle Use

Unless agreed in advance, the vehicle is available only during the scheduled journey times. Additional mileage, waiting time, or changes to the agreed itinerary may result in extra charges.


5. Passenger Capacity

Passengers must not exceed the vehicle’s legal seating capacity. Standing passengers are not permitted.


6. Passenger Conduct

Passengers must behave responsibly at all times. Drivers have the right to refuse travel or remove passengers whose behavior is unsafe, illegal, or disruptive. Any damage to the vehicle will be charged to the Hirer.


7. Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is not permitted on board our vehicles. If alcohol is consumed or found on the vehicle, the driver may terminate the journey immediately, and no refund will be issued.


8. Cleanliness & Fouling

Passengers must keep the vehicle clean. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Excessive rubbish
  • Damage
  • Spillages or stains

A £200 cleaning charge will apply if the vehicle is fouled (e.g., vomiting). A £25 reduction may apply if paid immediately.


9. Waiting Time

Additional waiting time beyond the agreed schedule may be charged at the standard hourly vehicle rate.


10. Seat Belts

All passengers must wear seat belts at all times while the vehicle is in motion.


11. Cancellations

Cancellation charges apply as follows:

  • 7+ days before travel £50 admin fee (Minibus) / £75 admin fee (Coach)
  • Between 7 days and 2 days before travel 50% of the booking cost
  • Within 48 hours of travel or same-day cancellation 100% of the booking cost

12. Delays & Breakdowns

While every effort is made to operate services on time, we cannot guarantee the journey will be completed at a specific time. Bucks Travel Limited is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • Road incidents
  • Mechanical issues
  • Other circumstances beyond our control

No compensation will be provided for missed flights, events, or connections.


13. Luggage & Personal Property

Passengers may bring reasonable luggage, subject to vehicle capacity and safety regulations. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property left on the vehicle.


14. Smoking

Smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited on all vehicles.


15. Surcharges

Prices are based on operating costs at the time of quotation. If more than 28 days pass between the quotation and travel, surcharges may apply due to increases in fuel or operational costs.

1. Definitions

2. Booking & Contract

A contract is formed when a booking is confirmed verbally, in writing, or by payment of a deposit.

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring all passengers comply with these Terms & Conditions.


3. Quotations

All quotations are provided for vehicle hire with driver only and are subject to vehicle availability.

Quotations are valid for 10 days unless otherwise stated. Prices may vary depending on availability, operating costs, and itinerary changes.


4. Payment Terms

A minimum deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the date of travel, unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of the booking.

Any unpaid invoices may be referred to a debt recovery agency, and a 15% surcharge plus any legal or collection costs may be added.


5. Vehicle Use

The vehicle is provided only for the agreed journey, itinerary, and times stated in the booking confirmation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the vehicle will not remain available at the destination between outward and return journeys.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Additional mileage
  • Waiting time
  • Changes to the itinerary

6. Passenger Capacity & Safety

Passengers must not exceed the vehicle’s legal seating capacity.

All passengers are required by law to wear seat belts while the vehicle is in motion.

The Hirer will be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by passengers, including cleaning or repair costs.


8. Alcohol Policy

Alcohol consumption on board the vehicle is not permitted.

If alcohol is consumed or brought on board without permission, the driver may terminate the journey immediately, and no refund will be issued.


9. Cleanliness & Fouling

Passengers must keep the vehicle in a clean and reasonable condition.

Additional cleaning or repair charges may apply for damage, excessive rubbish, spillages, or stains.

If the vehicle is fouled (including vomiting), a £200 cleaning and vehicle downtime charge will apply.


10. Cancellations by the Hirer

Cancellation charges will apply as follows:

  • More than 7 days before the journey
    £50 administration fee (Minibus) / £75 administration fee (Coach)
  • Between 7 days and 48 hours before the journey
    50% of the booking cost
  • Within 48 hours of travel or on the day of travel
    100% of the booking cost

11. Delays, Breakdowns & Force Majeure

The Company will make every reasonable effort to complete the journey as scheduled.

Bucks Travel Limited is not liable for delays or failure to perform services caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Traffic congestion
  • Road accidents
  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Mechanical breakdown
  • Government restrictions
  • Events of force majeure

Where a vehicle cannot be provided due to unforeseen circumstances, the Company may, at its discretion, offer an alternative vehicle or a refund of payments made. The company will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, events, or connections.


12. Driver Hours Regulations

Drivers are subject to UK and EU drivers’ hours regulations. The Hirer must ensure that the agreed schedule complies with these legal requirements. If passenger delays result in additional costs (such as replacement drivers or accommodation), the Hirer will be liable for these costs.


13. Luggage & Passenger Property

All luggage is carried subject to available space and safety regulations. The driver has the final decision regarding luggage carried. The company does not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage to passenger property, unless caused by proven negligence. Items left on vehicles will, where possible, be held for collection.


14. Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, in accordance with UK law.


15. Price Adjustments

If more than 28 days pass between the quotation and travel, the Company reserves the right to adjust the price to reflect increases in operating costs, including fuel and government-imposed charges.


16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law

Subject to the above, the Company’s liability for any claim arising from the booking shall be limited to the total price paid for the hire.


17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
